"Practice the Golden Rule"

Welcome to the Yllana cyberhome

Very few families can boast of a name where everyone who bears it comes from the same ancestry. During the 19th century, a sailor from Spain set foot in Philippine soil and started to settle in its islands. The first Yllana family ancestral hometown was in Naga City, in the Bicol Region in the late 19th century. It is from there that the brood was born and raised.

During the 50's and 60's, many have started to raise their families in Metropolitan Manila. Today, about 85 percent of it's family members have settled in several cities across the United States of America, and just a handful in our homeland.

With the advancement of technology and the Internet in these information age, we hope this website could be a convergence point for the family members to share family news, views, information, announcements and even photos for all of us to see. The world is now such a small place and no matter how far we are apart, we are just one e-mail away.

Ken and Spice make their wedding dreams come true.

In keeping with tradition, Ken and Spice wanted to celebrate their happiest day in the company of family and friends in an elegant and historic setting.

Spice used her skills as a project engineer to coordinate their wedding in Cincinnati, Ohio from hundreds of miles away in Albany, New York. In nontraditional fashion, Kenneth and Giovanna coordinated, funded, and hosted their Millennium wedding.

They wanted a traditional Catholic wedding that also celebrated Giovanna’s Filipino and Spanish cultures. They chose the Cathedral Basilica of Assumption in Covington, Kentucky where her uncle from the Vatican, Monsignor Tito Camacho Yllana officiated the marriage.
